I spent the weeked having a Healthy Soul. Saturday was spent preparing for my confirmation class retreat. Reading passages from the Gospel so that the Holy Spirit could work through me to reach the students was so very peacful and exhilarating at the same time. Sunday was a very special day. The confirmation candidates and their parents all participated in a day long retreat filled with music, readings from the Bible, and discussions about putting their faith into action. The day concluded with everyone going to the local soup kitchen and serving about 150 people. It was such a wonderful experience. The candidates all jumped right into the role of being a servant to others. I truly saw in their actions the work of God. When teenagers care enough to help others, it becomes an inspiration to everyone. I'm truly blessed to know these young adults, the future leaders of my community.
